THE ZUMA ROCK

Zuma rock was found in a thick forest by the people of Zuba and the Koro in the 15th century. It was earlier known as "Zumwa" which was the name given to it by the people of Zuba. No other mountain is close to the Zuma rock and the ancient people of Zuba sees it as a respect paid by other mountains to the Zuma rock. The Zuba people believed that the rock had strong spirits, they worshipped it, offered constant sacrifices, and organized festivals in honor of the rock. It is 3.1 kilometers in circumference and stands tall at a height of about 725 meters. A Zuma rock village was build behind the rock to accommodate tourist and people visiting the rock. The rock stands between Niger state and Abuja, having the bigger part at Niger and the smaller part at Abuja. It stands at the Northern end of Abuja, on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway. LEKKI CONSERVATION CENTER

Lekki Conservation Center was established in 1990 by the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF). It is one of Africa’s prominent and most-diverse urban Nature Parks due to its high species richness. It is one of the best Urban park to satisfy visitors that are curious of Nature cause it is one of the listed sites by Lagos State Government for preservation and protection of historical properties and cultural heritage. YANKARI NATIONAL PARK

Yankari National Park is a large wildlife park located in the south-central part of Bauchi State, in northeastern Nigeria. It covers an area of about 2,244 square kilometres (866 sq mi) and is home to several natural warm water springs, as well as a wide variety of flora and fauna. Its location in the heartland of the West African savanna makes it a unique way for tourists and holidaymakers to watch wildlife in its natural habitat. Brief history There has  been no human settlement in the park for over a century. However, there is evidence of earlier human habitation in the park, including old iron smelting sites and caves. In 1934, the Northern Regional Committee made a recommendation to the Executive Council to establish a pilot game reserve in the Bauchi Emirate.
